A Blueprint Written Into the Constitution

KING does not stop at describing problems. It proposes nine structural constitutional changes intended to outlast administrations, parties, and election cycles. One is introduced here each Monday. Each shows a short excerpt of the proposed language, quoted exactly from Appendix A of the book, followed by a brief summary.

These are proposals made in the book, not existing law. The complete proposed text of all nine amendments, and the reasoning behind them, appears in KING. Once an amendment is released, you can tell us whether you would put it in the Constitution and see what other KING readers think.
